The help is atrocious, the fish and chicken were frozen, thawed, and cooked poorly. The alcohol is mixed, top shelf bottles with well products. I will never return!

I love max's. The staff & service is always good they have a small turnover in staff. Even when the're busy.. the food is great and consistent. I never feel hungry when I leave. the prices are reasonable especially by hampton standards. the decor doesn't change but its clean. maybe thats why the prices stay so reasonainble. the wine list is terrific and reasonably priced. you can get a good bottle of wine for $35.00. 20 years and still here.

Comfortable, casual,elaxed atmosphere.Local fish,great pasta and shrimp dish.overall good value.

Hey Max... go to TJ Maxx and get some updated furnishings. Everything here needs to be updated- from the decor, old basement paneling to the menu- they smother everything in garlic. Had Peconic Bay scallops here the other day and they ruined the inherent nutty flavor of the scallops with bunches of parsley and chunks of garlic cloves swimming in a sea of butter. It is not 1970 it is 2011! Wake up!
