If you want authentic Cuban food in Houston you've just found it!! The food here is of the quality that you would expect to find in Tampa or in Miami. Starting with the mariquitas (fried plantain chips), bread with mojo de ajo or getting the real Cuban specialties such as the Ropa Vieja, Pargo frito, Pechuga a la plancha, Vaca Frita and the list goes on. We just love the place. True the service is not always the best. Food is worth the trip!!!

"We come here often and love the food. Running out of bread, as they did on a recent Friday night, is just one of the many ""service"" issues that plague Cafe Piquet, but the food overcomes these obstacles."
