Terribly disappointed, given the raves this place gets. Tried 6 different small plates and tapas to get a feel for the chef's strengths, and couldn't find them. High points of the evening: the bread (but the oil to go with it was just short of bad) and the french fries (not crisp enough on the outside, but well seasoned and creamy interior.) Nothing else was worth coming back for. Bland, safe, and designed for the 70-yr-old's palate.
Charming yet serious about the excellent food. Worth a detour from Rt. 95
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Consistently one of the best restaurants east of New Haven. Lounge is excellent, too. Highly recommended.
Everything here is prepared to perfection. There is also a seasonal menu to add variety. The special regional menus have been super -- Greek, Basque to die for. The bar menu is superb also. The wines are excellent as are the desserts. You can choose it for special occasions, a gastronomic great night out, or a gastro pub treat at the bar. Accolades to the much appreciated celebrity chef.
