    Roasted figs, goat cheese & beets is a great starter Calamari was perfectly fried Splurge for the huge fork tender breaded chop filled with cheese spinach & other goodies. Gnocchi is flavorful as light as a feather Seafood pasta was perfectly al dente, delicious & full of the expensive stuff Wine list insipid, 2-3x marked-up & needs to be fixed. Get the creme brulee or tartufo SERVICE IS EXCELLENT Decor is non-existent & quarters are a bit tight

  • We frequent Calagero's on a regular basis.Owners and staff always greet us warmly;exceptionally friendly and hospitable.Cuisine is always delicious.Specials are interesting,offering different preparations of familiar dishes.We particularly like that the excellent and creative chef does not oversalt the food.Meals are delicious on their own merit.Atmosphere is inviting and cozy.Service is professional while friendly.It is our favorite restaurant.

  • I made a reservation at Calagero's, but when I arrived apparently the reservation was irrelevant. At least two families without reservations were seated before I was, which I found very unprofessional and insulting. Even though the food was par for the price, I was shocked at the owner/manager's attitude towards his employees when I witnessed a quite regrettable episode. I did not feel like my business was valued, and I will not be back again.

  • We have been going to Calageros since it opened and have never been dissapointed with the choices or the service. We even had large family gatherings there

  • My wife and I have been dining here since it opened about 6 or 7 years ago. The food, service and ambiance have always been exceptional. We've never had a bad experience. The Lasagna Bolognese is better than homemade and the Calamari appetizer is the best I've had anywhere. We use their catering service exclusively and always receive rave reviews from family and friends. Calageros is Garden City's best kept secret.
