snob appeal
A good dose of nostalgia- if we want Italian food that is the same as we wanted twenty five years ago, here it is. Nothing wrong with that and I would not ask them to change.
This was such a disappointing experience. Went there with friends for my birthday. We ordered bistecca fiorentina because she said it was a favorite of hers. they gave us a piece of steak (chewy and tough) no spinach or anything else to make it fiorentina. When we told the waiter, he kind of shrugged it off and we were charged $43 for this tough piece of meat. Don't waste your money!
This is one of the jewels of classical Northern Italian Cuisine on Long Island. Vincenzo is a masterful chef and restauranteur.
Stuffy, old world Italian restaurant. The waiter thinks he is feeding Nero himself in the back room.
