Fresh & creative brunch, but be prepared to wait and then wait some more. The Maitre D'-although charming- seemed quite inexperienced: 30' for 2 x people to be seated this morning, plenty of empty seats in the room. Pretty poor system for coffee: machines operated by v slow people, who didn't seem to know what they're doing -bad £2 espresso then really bad and cold £2,5 filter (!) coffee. Very noisy. Mediocre service could/should be improved.
Would be a great spot for weekend bruch - if it wasn't for the poor and rude service! Was there on an early Sunday morning when the place was still only half full. Breakfast was served promptly but the coffee never arrived. Asked for the coffee again, and a few minutes later with half a coffee still in front of me, I was told by the waiter "Not to put pressure on you or anything, but I'll need the table back when you've finished that coffee."
Great place to stop by for a coffee and/or some wifi - and not bad for food either. Hosting a range of small plates, we went for a sharing board that was pretty much spot on with a nice mix of cheese, bhajis, butternut squash, chickpeas. A good mix all round.
Would recommend unreservedly for meetings but if you're hungry you really might as well do Exmouth Market along the same street instead.
food was okay- coffee good, service wasn't good:(
Dishes are inconsistent. Poached eggs were poached in pure vinegar rather than water! Waitress was rather rude and very slow. Unfortunate as it is a buzzing restaurant with great music.
