As for dinner Not very good at all!
Entrees are often inventive and interesting, but occasionally fall flat. Not sure how such a quality and inventive kitchen can have such uninspired deserts.
Maybe the pork chop meal on their regular menu is not a good choice, but I was underwhelmed by my dinner which to me was slightly above average. For $50+ I expect to have a flavor sensation, which was not there. The dessert was so-so as well. Not a good value.
Carole Peck's is a great place to go. It's so eclectic and funky (like the owner!) and can be semi-casual to more formal. Items are always unique and decor (from art to place setting and dishes) are always fun and changing. I have noticed that in the fast few months, service has declined a bit during peak hours...a few less visits to the table and slower service...but it's still hands above most other places.
The most creative and indulgent food I've had north of the Upper West Side.
