  • We just enjoyed a Christmas lunch for 10 at this quality restaurant. The service was attentive, but not overwhelming. The food was well prepared, clearly fresh, and with traditional ingredients. Desserts were outstanding. It is a well-kept secret in the City of Danbury and surrounds. It is a place to rely on, time and again.

  • Castello's is purely authentic italian food, decor and service. The branzino which is de-boned table side, will make you think you are in Italy. The zabalione, is prepared in the old world style, cooked and hand whisked table side, to the peak of perfection. This is a true family owned business, with outstanding service and the freshest ingredients used in all its dishes. It rivals many of the best NYC italian eateries in quality but not in price

  • I am another reviewer who has been there many times and always have a terrific experience. The food is really wonderful. The service, very friendly. I have been to Italy many, many times and as the others have said the food and ambience are very much like an Italian restaurant (in Italy). Give it a try, you will be happy you did.

  • My husband Bernie and I have been to Italy many times and find Castello is as close as you'll get to fine italian cuisine. We frequently dine out in New York City and Westchester County but find Castello is our all time favorite. Kenny, the owner makes sure your dining experience is wonderful. Castello is a hidden gem and many don't realize it has new ownership from the previous owners when is was Belle Italia.

  • A perfect place to have a fine meal. Everything from the appetizers to dessert is made with fresh ingredients and cooked with precision. I've eaten here several times and have always been impressed with each menu item. If you enjoy wine, you will appreciate the vintage and new age offering. To top it off, you feel like a true guest with friendly and class service.
