WOW! What a great restaurant. The bar, dining room and view are stunning. 1940's Brooklyn-Italian with an upscale flair. My husband and I really love the ambiance. Like Stage-Left, the food quality is held to the highest standards. My favorite is Cumare's stuffed calamari and the seafood salad. The zabaglione is famous....for a reason. Simply awesome. Don't miss a specialty cocktail at the bar either.

  • What a great atmosphere. The decor is very warm and inviting with fireplaces and stone accents and soft music in the background. The waiters are dressed in suits and the service is quite good. Great place to take a date. We had fresh pasta with bolognese sauce which was very well made--meaty and not acidic at all. The fresh mozzarella was absolutely perfect. I'm salivating thinking about it. Good wines too. Malbec was nice.

  • Its a traditional Italian restaurant. Food was great. Wait staff was courteous and knowledgeable. They have extensive cocktail menu. Try cocktails from the gilded age.

Great place! Wonderful atmosphere, outstanding service, and exceptional food. The restaurant is filled with a lot of energy and it lived up to my italian heritage standards. The story behind the restaurant is quite intriguing as well and adds to its authenticity. A must try.

  • Great place! High energy. Went on a busy Saturday night. The place was full yet service was attentive and professional. Try sharing some cold anti pasti (the house made mozzarella are a must!) You don't have to spend a lot - the pasta's are fresh and reasonable. Try the Garganelli with truffle cream and proscuitto! Also - come early and enjoy a cocktail. Catherine Lombardi's are head and shoulder above any other bar.

Even though we've loved Stage Left, we've hesitated on trying this place. Being from Italian heritage, our bar set for Italian comfort food is set high. Too bad we didn't try them sooner - this place rocks! Thick, savory/sweet sauce to die for is match perfectly we various perfectly al dente pastas; their eggplant parm dish was to die for; a pork osso buco that rivals any we've tried. Leave room for dessert. Deserves a better rating.
