  • My name is Harry & I live in the neighborhood of this restaurant. I used to come here often when it was run by Giancarlo & when the famous Michaelangelo was entertaining here. We thought we would give it a try and boy o! boy what a disappointment it was. The place has really gone down the drains, the food tasted really bad, the pasta dishes were overcooked especially the Fetuccini Alfredo, the Eggplant sour & I can go on & on, shame on Cavatore.

  • This is the worst Italian food my family has tasted in years. I will be very short and specific. None of the meat items tasted acceptable even. The meats were dry, hard to chew and the Escargot was like rubber , you chew and chew with no results, the Calamari was soaked with oil and tasted freezer burnt. The Tiramasu which they praise themselves with was as bad as the food.
The piano music I might add was headache to our ears. Never Back again.

    • Foodie

We understand that the food and service has declined somewhat under the new management. We would concur based upon our most recent dining experience. Old world standard Italian dishes are served in a casual space adorned with an eclectic blend of memorabilia from across Italy. This casual Italian restaurant provides many several options sure to appeal to the children as well as adults. For the price there are better choices for Italian cuisine.

  • Cavatore gets it right! Nestled in the Garden Oaks/ Heights area this small family run and owned establishment offers authentic Italian dishes in a romantic, rustic cottage atmosphere. The dishes are finely tuned, well portioned and there is a plenty of variety on the menu. The Caesar salad is expertly executed and prepared table side. The staff and service are professional and charming. Most nights there is a piano player taking requests.
