The name, and the clientele, belie the exquisite leafy setting at a reclaimed mill with a dramatic loud waterfall. Dining outdoors in good weather is unsurpassed. The chef is responsive with off-the-menu pastas prepared precisely to order. A simple Moules a la Mariniere was the best we've had. Staff are absolutely on the spot. Plus - it's romantic.
"Grilled" chicken sandwich was deli meat. Parmesan "fries" were a pathetic mix between home fries and more grease.
Disaster. Food was bland, service ws mediocre. Hostess was unpleasant from the beginning. This got worse as a table full of her friends was right next to us just having a fabulous and really loud party. There were multiple altercations, as we jumped up to tell children to not destroy the landscaping for the restaurant, as their parents stood by, oblivious, and prob entertained.
excellent food, long wait, but worth it.
This is a favorite lunch spot. Wonderful sandwiches, omelettes, salads, pastas and individual pizzas at reasonable prices. On a nice day, sit outside by the waterfall under an umbrella. Sit inside for a charming and warm atmosphere punctuated with customer drawings on the walls. Contribute one of your own - your table cloth is drawing paper and there are crayons at every table. Friendly service.
