Delightful neighborhood restaurant, but can someone please tell them that it is alright for servers to write the orders on a piece of paper, rather than rely on one's memory, so it can be bungled up later and several times?
Small plates. Friendly staff. Great date night. Very enjoyable food with a hint of Italian inspiration. It was the type of meal that influenced me to try and recreate some of the recipes and flavor profiles at home.
Really, really wanted to like this place, love their back story. Food was only O.K., drinks so-so, and decor was slightly off. I'd say we'd give it another shot but there's too many other great places to hit.
Great special cocktails. The food was inventive and tasty, with great and unusual combinations of ingredients. A great neighborhood place and worth a drive if you are not local. Decor is sleek bordering on stark, but the tables are very comfortably spaced and intimate at the same time.
Ceres' table is a real find, it is located in a fairly non-descript block of Clark St across from a graveyard, but the food truly delivers. Technique and quality ingredients are on display at this Italian influenced contemporary American spot. Service is pleasant and accomodating, a perfect compliment to the food.
