The original Chantanee was more family style-- it was super popular, so they decided to move locations and expand/upgrade. The upgrade made the place seem more upscale... good for business dinners, less so for families with young kids.

the food is fantastic, ambiance was better when it was lesser known and inconspicuous in a strip mall (and was half the price).
