Charleston is truly outstanding! The food is imaginative, delicious, and perfectly prepared. The wine list is exceptional and the sommelier is an expert. The rooms are tastefully decorated, well illuminated, and not noisy. The wait staff a re very well trained. All-in-all, this is one of the very best restaurants in North America
Good not great. I guess I was expecting too much from Baltimore's top rated restaurant. I thought each of the small-plate courses was good. But none of them had that special quality that made me yearn for a repeat visit. At the price of $88 per three courses (four including the dessert), the food should be very special indeed. Based on the many glowing reviews from others on this site, I am hoping that maybe this was an off night for Charleston.
Ate solo in the Bar area and was treated very well. Small mixed drink menu but a great Scotch selection! Every morsel of food exploded with flavor. Lobster soup with a touch of curry amazing & the wine paring of sherry just right for the dish. Turbot w/cold artichoke & celery salad perfect together. Cheese cart a nice, tight selection. Well worth it for the foodies.
