Disappointing that such a cute place with such limited dinner menu could not live up to its promise. My steak was more steamed than grilled and my husband's pasta dish was bland and pasty. Our friend's fish was just drowning in croissant crumbs, overpowering the fish. Salad needs to be on a plate, not a bowl as there was no way to mix the dressing. I really wanted to like this place but the food is just not great.

Had both lunch and dinner here. The lunch/tea is great. Salads, sandwiches, tea. Decor is charming. Food at dinner was salty.

Lovely lunch place, decor is charming, chicken salad was too processed, should have been chunky but flavor was good.

The black cat, an ordorable cafe that makes you feel you're in France not Rockville Centre. Cozy couches and chairs invite you in for a scrumptous (non diet) lunch or dinner! It's a lovely place for moms and daughters to share a pot of tea.
