We got a small chef salad. Great fresh salad dressings, one a sweet vinaigrette and the other a sour cream type. Great value. The pot pie pizza (we got a vegetarian with mushroom) was quite good. An interesting twist on traditional pizza. All four elements: good crust, toppings, excellent cheese, and very goo dmarinara. We then had the rum nut gelato dessert. Good prices and portions and above average flavors. Not the best ever, but good.
It's a treat if you enjoy this type of pizza. Like a giant dough surrounding all the pizza makings - dumped in your plate. But, I've been going to the "Grinders" since they opened, and there were no lines or wait to get in - hasn't changed it's concept and doesn't need to. A must for tourists, but then we just have to wait longer for the delicious pizza.
Unique pizza pot pie, awesome med bread and great scenery! Cash only.
Always great!
So worth the wait! Relax at the bar while you await and try to figure out the doorman's secret! You will be happy you did when you take your first bite of your pizza!
