overpriced. my husband and i were not impressed with the food. the service was okay but a little stuffy for our tastes.

Finally had dinner at the Chop House after years of wanting to do so, and I couldn't have been more impressed. The service is outstaning, the decor is wonderful, and the food.... wow. Obviously this is more of a special occasion place and you will spend some money, but I will be back. Get the Lobster Bisque and the au Gratin Potatoes! Had the Cowboy steak which was excellent (and huge) as well.

Wonderful service and very good steaks. Expense account stuff, at least mine was. I would recommend special occassion or business dinners.

It's not cheap and it's no Peter Luger but I think that this might be the most consistent restaurant in Ann Arbor. The steaks are good, the sides well seasoned and the wait staff know their stuff and are happy to share rather than lecture. It does take forever to order though as they reel through every cut

Expensive but worth it. I dine out A LOT (150 nights a year) and the Chop House has the best filet i've ever had... no frills... no marinade/garnish...just beef, salt, black pepper, and attention to detail. Everything is al carte, so come prepared to spend a bit but if its a special occasion or you're on business go and enjoy...this place does steak and does it very very well
