I ate at Fiddler's Restaurant in Brookfield many years ago and it was terrifice. Then I ate at Chris's American Restaurant. It was great. Asian influences, the ingredients beamed with freshness. New York strip was delicious, cooked to perfection and tender. Foie gras butter was a nice accompaniment. Mussels and tuna carpaccio were over the top,The owner is obviously hands on.It's hard to believe that it was located in Brookfield, Connecticut.
A surprising gem in Brookfield. Menu is American with European and Asian influences and rotates with seasonal ingredients. Appetizer highlites include duck liver pate and a fried Asian sampler. For the most upscale lunch item in the area, try the kobe burger with gratineed onions and truffle fries for a surprisingly inexpensive $16. Pork belly, duck, pastas, fresh fish, marinated pork chops, and other items also mandate a trip. Great food for $.
