Kitchy cool location. I launched an order of their fried ice cream (delicious by the way) onto the floor. But no one made me feel bad. If you want to hob-knob with UCONN biggies, hang out there.
A college favorite when parents are visiting!
The sun has set on this establishment. Stuck in a time warp, heavily seasoned so it all tastes the same. Meat cuts were only standard grade at best. Not much for your money. Compare with Outback Steakhouse chain where the meat cuts and preparation are substantially better for the same value. There is a loyal clientele at this location, apparently due to lack of imagination and habit.
A decent steakhouse with a massive capacity for seating. The steaks are adequately cooked but every time I've gone, I've felt that I should have received more for my money. Most memorable was a teriyaki marinated steak I had at a special lunch that was tasty but so small that I began begging off other people's plates... never before in a restaurant had I felt so pathetic. I blame Chuck's for any lapse in self-esteem I have due to this incident.
Please note that the Storrs location does not have a salad bar. They do serve a nice large salad.
