Avoid French Quarter prices, with terrific food to boot! Authentic neighborhood bistro full of happy locals near Uptown and Tulane. Escargots and lamb were truly memorable, and profiteroles were straight out of Europe...only better! Professional, friendly service. Very reasonably priced wine list. Just two short, safe blocks off the St. Charles trolley, it's very convenient to the French Quarter. If in Houston, it'd be our "once-a-month place".
An unexpected gem in a quiet neighborhood street. Wonderfully prepared food, quiet atmosphere and reall "bistro" feel to it. The pizza is an oddity on the otherwise french menu, but purely delicious. The usual drawback of "cash only" actually adds to the quaintness.
WONDERFUL NEIGHBORHOOD BISTRO! I wish I had found this place long ago. We've been about 10 times and have been very pleased each visit. The entire staff is friendly and we always feel welcomed. The food is terrific - authentic french dishes. Salads, soups, specials, apps, entrees, wine - we've been hitting every corner of the menu and have so far been very pleased. Small place - you may want to make a reservation. Casual, comfy, intimate.
Good but not great
Nice neighborhood bistro in the heart of the "river bend" area of New Orleans. Small and quaint. Food was fine although those who have rated it higher are being kind. Decor was a bit casual but the service was good. I will definately go back. My wife had the mussels in a cream broth. She liked it. I had the special which that night was veal flank in a mushroom sauce. The sauce was overpowering the veal. Profiterols for desert. Yum. Try it
