Been coming here for years, but was disappointed the last few times. I am not sure that everything is homemade anymore. But, I still love the drinks and people-watching. A wonderful, unique Atlanta landmark!
Saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Had to try it out. The heat was cranked up to about 110 degrees. The macaroni and cheese was NOT homemade but rather noodles with cheese sauce. The fried okra was not homemade. The onion rings were not homemade. I ordered the fried chicken. Came out hot and fresh but nothing to get me excited. The waiter was weird. I guess Gays and Grays like bland food NOT homemade.
Absoulty love it. Cheep, Great food and alot of it to boot, just an atlanta must. Good old down home country cookin
Don't mess with the Colonnade's food or clientele. Gays and Grays isn't their watch word by accident. Where else can you get tomato aspic or pear salad as a side item choice? Large portions are not the only attraction. Bread baskets brimming with hot yeast rolls and cornbread and their chocolate pie are must haves to go with any dinner you may order.
Kind of old fashioned. Needs update.
