I have lived in the area all my life, and Costa Verde has hands down the best Portuguese Food around. The prices are very cheap for the amount of food you get. Also the prices for alcohol are cheaper than most bars and restaurants you will go to in this area. I am not sure where these other reviews where eating at maybe they own a Portuguese Rest. in the area and are trying to discourage people. Try the beefsteak Costa Verde and red sangria!

To begin with, the restaurant was understaffed for a Holiday, There were problems with all seafood and poultry entrees, and confused service for drinks and entrees. The quality of the service and food has apparently deteriorated since my last previous visit in 2008. After an inferior stuffed shrimp entree was returned, I asked for a fillet mignon, but it took 2 attempts until this was served as requested. A candidate for "Kitchen Nightmares".

When we moved to this area 20 years ago, this was a restaurant with good food, a good staff and a fun bar.What happened? It certainly isn't what it used to be, but it's crowded on most nights. ? The food isn't worth mentioning, there are better Portugese restaurants a short drive away in South River.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS DUMP. the service was the absolute worst i've ever experienced. i had to wait 45 minutes to get my check to actually leave. i had to ask for it 3 times. the food is not even close to mediocre, and the prices are outrageous.
