Little known gem in the loop. I've worked across the street for years and just recently found this gem. Excellent view of the river, reasonable prices, and terrific,friendly staff.

An urban oasis with a fun kick. Currents on the River has super yummy food, friendly service, and I love their signature cocktails! Try the Mary Jane Hemptini and Green River BBQ Wings! They have veggie and gluten free options too. It's a great place for lunch or drinks after work. Make reservations. Plan a private party - great for networking events. Or try their off-premise catering - they rock!

Went there for a business lunch with a group. Food took forever, tasted either greasy or dry (depending on the selection) and the "view" of the river did not make up for the otherwise bland decor. And when we asked the waiter for salt to season the mediocre food, he gave us a lecture about how the chef doesn't like to have salt shakers on the table!
