Servers are experienced, well trained & polite. Service can be slow if kitchen busy. Come early or on weekdays for best dinner experience. Food is distinctive and consistently excellent. Worth the long drive & high prices. Chopped salad, petite filet pepper steak, bananas foster - favorites. Oysters Rockefeller is to die for. Also rare classics like Lobster Thermador, Abalone, frog legs flambe, steak Diane made tableside.
I have been dining at Dal Rae for the better part of 30 years and it reminds me of the places my parents took us 50 years ago. Some ideas don't age because they work. An excellent steak, a Caesar salad made table side, fresh bread, and fairly priced wine will always be in style. Great inventive cuisine this is not. Quality ingredients well prepared it is.
Old time decor and food make for a throw back to the 50's. It still a good place to go for an evening of eating, though a bit pricy.
great in every way except the location
This place has been an LA icon forever. It is consistently good. Also a good place to go alone to watch a game, but sit in the bar.
