This place was absolutely fantastic! The setting was intimate, and the service was great. Everyone had a very professional manner. Now about the food - delicious! They had the best naan I've ever had. I highly recommend Darbar for everyone

A solid but seemingly often overlooked Indian option on the East Side.
Everything was good. The Beetroot Malai Kofta was notable.
We had a table at the front on second floor which was very nice and quiet the night we were there.
Prices were on the low side for Manhattan.

DARBAR IS EXCELLENT! I had my best friend's birthday there last night, and it was a great experience!! Food was fantastic, service was impeccable and the staff & Mike was super attentive! A group favorite was their delicious garlic & cheese naan & tender chicken tikka masla! They were so nice & gave us complementary shots for the birthday boy, what's not to like? I can't wait to go back again :)

Well,I came to know about Darbar through my girlfreind,who claims to know all about authentic indian food.Well,Well,she was absolutely right this time.We ordered Jinga tadka as appetizers & were totally blown away with it.Next we ordered lamb chops & something called chef sp malai,OMG,with the garlic nan it was amazing.The service was very courteous & attentive.She took all the credit for it even though it was me who chose all the dishes.

Vow.What a great find.We really had a great time at Darbar.The food was super delicious & the service was impeccable,from the time we entered till we left,every single person from the hostess to the busboy,were very gracious & thankful.Will highly recommend this place.Was told they have a new location on 55 st,will try that next time.
