I have eaten three times at Dario's American Cuisine, including a busy New Year's Eve. All three times were excellent meals. The "Dario's Salad" is oustanding. This is a well balanced menu--food is prepared and presented thoughtfuly and quite competently. Dario's is probably the best restaurant in this part of Houston and could easily compete "inside the loop". Dress up or go casual, the point is "go". Zagat needs to do a formal review.

The wine list is short and mostly contains wines from California's Napa Valley. I am big fan of Cakebread Chardonnay and since it is on the list, I can't entirely complain. The steaks and seafood are always cooked well and presented well and the service is nice. Could be a much better place to eat if they enforced a dress code and offered a wider selection of wines.
