Finally tried Dek's and must say that I am sorry we did. The service was slow even with us being the only two customers there. The food was extremely expensive but did taste good. Imagine the surprise though that with my dinner plate came a COCKROACH !!!!!! It crawled from the side of my plate onto the table! We knocked it to the floor where the owner stepped on it and laughed!! No one came to the table for apologizes nothing! Waitress was nice.

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time since it is heavily advertised. Arrived at 8pm on a Wednesday evening. There were two other parties seated. The service was poor and spotty. Loud music and commercials blasted at us. The food was atrocious and over priced. My husband had jambalaya $23.95 a la carte for fishy small shrimp that had been microwaved. Just an insult from beginning to end. Avoid at all costs.

Have not been to dek's in the past two years, but i am shocked at some of the bad reveiws.Every meal we ever had there was excellent. My wife and I would eat at a different restaurant every sat nite, & found deks to be the one which all others were judged against. Dean has always been a joy to talk to and is part of the dining experience.He always made sure you were happy with your meal.The only problem we had was very overpriced drinks.

My wife and her family ended up going to this place last night. We should have read these reviews before we ended up there...after about 45 minutes of waiting for our appetizers we saw a roach run across our table...after several tries we took the roach out. When the owner came over we told him and he said that "they can even survive a nuclear attack"....we left and he didn't seem surprised at all...i've never been so thankful to see a roach

my wife likes German food so i wanted to treat her so i took her to deks American restraint for October fest menu there.well 11/2 hour wait to get our food the coslirpriton was not what its was so pose to be.it looked like a piece of ham not a pork chop. the Roldan was all one color brown the red cabbage was brown. the potato pancakes were brown. and it was all a bad night there.it sucked and ill never go back there they should clean the place
