Probably not the best Indian restaurant on LI. Not even the best in Hicksville. But the food, prices & service are all good. Maybe it's me, but I get turned off when Indian restaurants over do it with bell peppers. So was disappointed to see that 3 of the 5 entrees were loaded up with large chunks of red & green bell peppers. Have never been to India, but my gut feel is that there are probably more authentic peppers that they could use.

Prices, presentation and taste are very good. However they must put a ton of MSG in their food. My GF and I were up till 6am as if we both drank two pots of coffee each.
As a consequence I must recommend that you avoid this establishment.Published January 15, 2012 -

Fantastic!
My girlfriend and I favorite Indian restaurants. I would absolutely say out of all your choices in the area this is the one to go to. We always start with the delectable samosa followed by the always delicious Chicken Vindaloo (spicy) and Saag Paneer. These two are my all time favorite Indian dishes and Diwan prepares them perfectly each time.
We frequent this spot almost once a week and it never gets old.

This new Indian place is in the same strip mall as Patel Brothers, so if you're inspired (and you will be) you can go and get your own provisions to recreate an ethereal experience in Indian cuisine.
