food and wines/beers very good, place very nice. but, oh boy! it's very noisy, almost impossible at times to have a conversation. i'd suggest they do something for their acoustic. then, it would be perfect.
Classic comfortable pub feel. Great crowd inside.
The Duke of Cambridge is a long standing eco-restaurant with a regular clientele. While their ethical standards and food quality is high, so you might feel, is the price. It can be a challenge to serve pub food at restaurant prices but the DoC seems to get by. Worth the occasional visit, good for groups.
The food is a bit hit and miss, they often run out of dishes so you are left with little choice, and overall the dishes are somewhat overpriced in my opinion.
This is a pub-of-all-pubs, very neighborhood-ish friendly (don't be surprise is the waiters recognize you on a return visit) and only thing missing are rowdy drunks. Menu--- down to earth; not quite comfort food since it has more flare that mom's cooking or grandma's apple pie, but has that secure atmosphere added to the flavor of 'typical' Brit food, whatever that is!
