Absolutely phenomenal! The service was fantastic even though the restaurant was SRO. We were blown away by the incredible cocktail list and tried several - all of which were delicious. The Au Provence and the Periodista were favorites at the table. The food was first class. Amongst the 4 of us we tried salt cod fritters, oysters, foie gras, roasted beets for appetizers and moved on to prime rib, roast pork, liver and onions and salmon - and there were rave reviews all around! I have a business trip to a city in MA next week and the 2 hour drive to eat here again will be a given!

Visited Eastern Standard for the first time prior to a Red Sox game, GREAT FIND! We got a super table and were greeted by Thomas, the best waiter we've had in months. He had a complete mastery of the drink list, the wine list and the menu, rare these days. Overall experience a "10". I'm an oyster aficionado, and give most restaurant's oysters a 7 or 8. Eastern Standard's were a 10, fresh, cold and clean. Well worth the trip!

Some of the best cocktails in the country, can get quite noisy but generally pleasant ambiance, and consistently excellent food - late night food options (rare in Boston) are delicious and exceptionally reasonable.
