El Nuevo Mexicano

This cozy little Clark St. spot doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, the food is delicious and the service is snappy. The neighborhood has officially discovered this gem, as evidenced by packed weekend dinner traffic. Even when at capacity, the food comes quickly and your water glass is never empty. Flavorful Mexican standards are far better than your standard Mexican fare, but at very reasonable prices. A great option for a casual night out. The only complaint is that the margaritas start at $8, meaning your bar tab could easily outpace the cost of your meal.
