  • Our first visit to Ephesus was on a Sunday at 6:30. My wife and I were the only people in the restaurant which worried us a bit. However, the hunkar beyendi (lamb cubes with roasted eggplant puree) was excellent and so was the Turkish chopped tomatoes and cucumber salad. The appetizer, cheese "cigars", was OK. We ended the meal with pistachio baklava which was superb. I'm a Greek born in Istanbul so I know a little bit about this cuisine :-)

  • The food is fantastic. It has changed hands in ownership, and more recently chef. Great options for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. My boyfriend always gets kebabs, while I prefer the cold appetizers, hunker begendi, and sautes. Whenever my parents invite us out for dinner, this is their first choice. This is a family owned business and it is evident throughout your meal. The owners are warm, generous, and welcome you each time you return.

  • Ephesus is a favorite restaurant of ours. As vegetarians, the menu has a wide variety of food for us. We live in Queens and find the trip worthwhile. The owners provide excellent food and a warm family atmosphere. We have had non-vegetarian friends and family from the West Coast join us at Ephesus enjoying the array of foods and friendly atmosphere as much as us. Eating at Ephesus is a wonderful ethnic experience which we highly recommend.

  • The husband and I have been regulars here for a while. It is our once-a-month treat since we discovered it. Last night, we found it under new management… and it was ACTUALLY BETTER than before. Food was just as delicious, bread has greatly improved, and wow, the restaurant was so generous with portions and extras that I walked away actually feeling guilty and deliciously bloated. Ephesus reborn is just as authentic and yum!
