This aging restaurant harkens back to a 1990s view of French food. Still, the oxtail consomme is flavourful and well-executed, and the veal cheek is tender and pairs well with cipollinis and oyster mushrooms. Gnocchi is delicate and (rare in this town) well-made. Desserts are uninventive but fulfilling. The decor is stuck in the 90s, but the service is good if unremarkable.
Save your money and pass on this one...Even if it is located at one of the oldest most prestigious hotels in downtown TO.
You can't go wrong with Fairmont. It's pretty old school but you know the food quality is top notch.
"""This restaurant is not a dining choice, but a dinner choice. The food is good, and satisfying but nothing special. The table cloth and napkins are not the crisp cotton that are called for."""
