Excellent food with fresh ingredients. Service staff well informed generally very good depending on who you get. Its a busy location and sometimes the food arrives fast, with not much of a break between appetizer and main course. Will be back again in a while, when new season's menu arrives.
Menu is really unique and interesting. The good food was overshadowed, however, by poor service from an inattentive staff. We were on time for our reservation, and waited 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we waited another 25 minutes before our waiter decided to stop by the table. When we finally ordered, they were out of the menu item that half in our party was planning to order. We didn't order dessert because we didn't have all night.
Superb.
This is the best Northern Italian fare I've encountered in Boston. It manages to update its menu with some regularity, always finding unusually fresh ingrediants and delivering them with imaginative, thoughtful preparations. The wait staff is exceptionally well informed and helpful without being pushy. Simply said, this is a place to go for a special meal.
Excellent food with imaginative combinations of herbs and spices. We had salmon, a hake dish and wild boar. Each entrée included a medley of scrumptious vegetables. The desserts were also outstanding, as well as the wine and the service. This was our second trip to Erbaluce; the chef called after my original review to explain that the veal dish that I panned was actually a favorite of some customers who liked the fatty content. We'll be back.
