Retro Tex-Mex at its best, Houston style. Been going since 50's when my parents took me there. Chili con queso and cheese enchiladas (made with their queso) are different (in a good way). No melted Velveeta here. Much of the waitstaff has been there since the grass started growing. Love this place, as did the late/great Marvin Zindler. And who could argue with Marvin??
A true Houston classic. Chili con queso that still sets the standard for real Tex Mex and the cheese enchiladas are the real deal. So what is the place is bit worn at the heels and the margaritas are best forgotten. It is a great plate of Houston food history with servers who have seen it all.
