Thank goodness this elegant restaurant, dedicated to serving local and sustainable cuisine, has arrived in Hartford! Cozy room and attentive service enhance the experience of the well-prepared, inventive food. A rich, deeply-flavored mushroom soup on a blizzardy night was memorable.

The food is definitely creative, well thought out and delicious and the atmosphere is charming. Since the menu responds to the seasons there is always something new and interesting to try.

3 trips to firebox. Tough commute in, love the space, Dinner was great all three times. Service ahhh - just okay

I have eaten at Firebox once. I thought the menu was creative, and the food was very good. The atmosphere is unique and eclectic. They offer music some nights throughout the week.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated, the menu was original with all locally grown delicacies, all skillfully cooked. Service was excellent. Surprisingly empty (it was Monday). All in all a great experience. Our only criticism was the bread
