Great, Texas style BBQ. Brisket was excellent. Not a great location for anyone that lives on the North side of town though
It's some of the best BBQ in Atlanta, not the best, but near the best. The smoky flavors are right on every time I've been, which is exclusively on the weekends. It's busy but I wouldn't say the wait is bad. The "gluttony" part everyone says is right on. The BBQ is great but it's all these unique things like "deep fried bacon" that you just go "why not." It really is good BBQ with good service. Consistent too.
I have fallen in and out of love with this place over the months. Some days this is awesome Q, especially the stunning wings. Great smoke, tender meat, big servings. Next time only hints of smoke or dry brisquet and tiny wings. The beef rib special has gotten smaller (& gone from $12 to $20). I fear its own success will hound FoxBros until management gets consistency control. Since the "big treenami" of 20 12 most of the tables are outside.
above normal
Amazingly popular for being so new, the BBQ is quite tasty but not always worth the wait. Meats smoked onsite are flavorful and usually good quality. Sides are basic but well made. The Fox Bros. sauce (also sold at Whole Foods) is a standout. Decor is casual but interesting, which also describes the service. When lines are long, the parking lot assumes a festive tailgate atmosphere.
