It was 8/24/12, a Friday night and we were given a corner table inside. Did not know they had garden seATING. the food was very fresh, innovative and very good. The server was a misery, no smile or humor. My husband and I thought that we give her the benefit of ou doubt that maybe she is having a bad day. It turns out that only if you are a regular do you get a smile. Very rude! Would go back only if we don't get her.
A wonderful place, makes us feel like part of the family every time.
The new appt of prawns is spectacular and mussels are always fresh. The entire menu is tasty and keeps one coming back for more. Great for eating at the bar as well.
The summer season may be over, but the Hamptons Film Festival is coming. Now they have a great restaurant in walking distance; not around the corner but close enough to get to and worth it. Wine by the glass exceptional. A man was eating steak with a beautiful presentation of bone marrow so I had it and it was terrific. I had salmon tartare (salty for me) but my man had the boullibaise. Loved it.
Take my word for it, even if misspelled at times.
Nice ambience, very good food & pretty good specials/prix fixes. An East Hampton staple near the train station. May it continue for many years to come!
Very friendly wait staff and this coupled with the excellent food made our visit something special that you want to return to real soon.
