what a disaponitment, the staff was very unnatttentive and a bit rude. we were not satisfied with the African chicken and when we attempted to let them know they were very sarcastic and they treated the other patrons who all happen to be caucasian with much more appreciation and respect. I was really looking forward to dining at Geechee Girl and patronizing a black owned business unfortunately they didnt care if we ever came back.
Location and food are both off the beaten track but exceptionally well prepared. Because everything is freshly prepared, from local ingredients, you may have to wait awhile, but the waiting is well worth it. It's Mt. Airy friendly, too.
Despite (or consistent with?) the humble digs, the pulled pork and black-eyed peas were spectacular.
Food is great, but not always consistent. Service is a slow, but food is worth the wait.
great
