Gejas has been around for years and is always an excellent romantic place to dine...one of the most romantic in the city. Staff is accommodating and the fondue is excellent.

We went because I purchased a coupon on Travelzoo. I made a reservation for my B-day. We were 20 minutes late due to a bad parking situation in Lincoln Park area. We were told that restaurant has 20 minute waiting policy and they gave up our table. The manager offers us to wait in the bar, and we agreed. We waited for over 1 hour and still no table however we saw plenty of empty tables. We left that restaurant without food angry and never go back

Much better than the Melting Pot for fondue, but Geja's Cafe is also remarkably more expensive. This romantic establishment is a great way to spend an evening and a bit of money. From the moment you wander downstairs into the tucked away restaurant until you leave with your stomach quite full, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Expect very large portions.

A throwback in my old neighborhood. Cozy for lovers, fun for friends. Don't wear your best clothes: drycleaning required after dining in the romantic haze of candles and cooking oil.
