I had the best dining experience at Germano's. It was totally unexpected as well, which made it even better. This is authentic Tuscan cooking. I had the privilege of meeting the owner, Germano Fabiani, who is a native of Florence. I found out this year that I had a milk allergy so dining out has been difficult. However, I felt very comfortable after speaking with Germano. His two daughters have food allergies as well. My risotto was to die for!
The restaurant was beautiful, the music was nice. But the food... was awful. I've never had worse Italian food in my life. I ordered the chicken parm(from the 'specialties')and the chicken tasted like it was heated from being frozen and the red sauce was bland and watery and had barely any flavor. I'm honestly not sure where all of these good reviews are coming from because when I checked 'open table' reviews I couldn't believe my eyes.
Northern Italian at it's best! Fantastic Belle Epoch Art Posters, many of which are one of a kind. Parking can be an issue but the food makes it all worth while.
Went there for a fun new year's eve concert and dinner. The food was very good, but the waiter left us after dinner was served to wait tables in another part of the restaurant and never told us. Never got the chance to have coffee or dessert, or our bill. Had to look for someone to help us.
possibly the worst Italian food I've ever eaten -- but the upstairs cabaret is a gem!
