The service was very friendly, though it wasn't packed and our pizza took over thirty minutes from order. We got the deep dish veggie. The toppings were okay, the cheese and marinara were awesome, but the crust was kinda like a spongy saltine. The caprese salad was disappointing: unripe beefsteak tomato with the hard core left on and a thick vinagrette that tasted like it was out of the bottle.
I love pizza -- and this is really delicious pizza for me. Made perfectly always. Usually crowded, but that's okay, you're there to enjoy the deep dish that's always a gem.
The pizza delivery could be faster. It would be nice if the prices were lower.
This place is not good. I don't know if it was at one point, but it's not now and I hate the idea of tourists leaving with the idea that Giordano's is the standard for Chicago pizza.
