Absolutely worth a stop. Harry's is a historic landmark with burgers featured in Gourmet magazine. True local joint with fantastic burgers and shakes....love the fried clams, as well.

Worth the wait for the juiciest burger I've ever had. Service is great. I work at a nursing home where all the residents fondly remember eating at Harry's as a kid. Not sure exactly when it opened, but its been in Colchester, CT for quite some time, and from the what the old-times say, it hasn't changed much. Onion rings, fried clams, crinkly cut fries, and Muckie's natural casing hot dogs are favorites, but burgers reign supreme!

I guess you have to grow up with Harry's to appreciate it like the locals do. Nothing wrong with it, I just don't get all the fuss. Stand in line (a big line because they are always busy) to get a hot dog or tiny hamburger. The fries are good. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with it - but it seems like one of those places you go to - because you grew up going there.

1950's style burger shack serves the best cheese burgers in CT. it's always packed with everyone from families to bikers. Highly recommended. You will be hard pressed to find a better burger anywhere in the USA.
