We had the lamb ribs as an appetizer. Had someone lit a match near them the grease would have burst into flames. We then ordered a 40 ounce steak rare ($68.) and it came medium. (Not medium rare but medium) Zagat has the overall food rating at a 26 at this time. I'm going with a 21 at best. Maybe the trick is to eat at a seafood place when one is in Montauk. I'll try that next.
Wonderful, very creative food. Beautiful setting on Ft. Pond. Sunsets are amazing. I would go back at the drop of a hat. Just wish it were closer.
Gorgeous setting with excellent fare. Dined numerous times over the past 2 years and while their food has remained a solid "best in the area" their service has fallen off consideably. Be prepared to ask for fresh silverware and runners who toss family sized platters of food on your table regardless if your appetizers remain or not. No longer any coordination of service, which is really too bad considering just how well the food is prepared
Very nice place for groups of 6 or more. If you're a couple, then plan on having the exact same thing for dinner - all menu items are for sharing.
We eat at Harvest every time we come to Montauk but this time, the visit wasn't as satisfying as we have experienced in the past. The portions are huge, so you don't need to order as many dishes as you might think. This time, for a party of 4, we shared the watercress salad (it was very good), the veal bolognese (eye-catching menu selection, but not enough sauce came with it to make it memorable), followed by a skirt steak (just so-so).
