Excellent dining experience with knowledgable staff and amazing foor. I highlt recommend the tasting menu.
One of my favorites in Chicago. Perfect for quiet dinner. I always appreciate their attention to detail.
lovely room, good service. cockle/bay scallop consomme: sweet, delicate. duck breast elevated by superb tiny foie gras/apple tarts. Fig sauce&mushrooms flattered the venison. Delicious manjari ganache: cardamom ice cream, cocoa, sesame crumble. slight criticisms: lousy complimentary "champagne"--better to lace it with cassis or framboise--& overpriced Burgundies. '06 Taylor Pinot better value. all in all, 24/27/24 which is still great.
A standard of excellence that most restaurants will never approach. The service transported us to another plane of dining! The hostess' warm anniversary wishes, keepsake menus, complimentary Alsace-Lorraine sparkling wine, an accomlished & engaging sommelier, wilingness to give up 2 tables so we might dine side by-side as sweethearts on the banquette & a true prfoessional in our server Emily. Quebecouis Veal Chop & Duck Breast Confit w/o equal!
Went for a light lunch, and luncheon we did. We had a great lunch at Henri, that was only part liquid lunch. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere delicately stylish, the people sophisticated, and the view harkened that of being on Central Park. It was great we had the escargot, the chicken confit, and the the ham and gruyere sandwich. It was excellent!
