Dark and sexy ambience..Full of the "beautiful people" with money to spend..Having said that, the menu is delightful and the cuisine does not disappoint. The sea bass melts in your mouth. The crabcake appetizer did not appear to contain any bread crumbs, just flaky flavorful big chunks of crab..The macaroni and cheese with four cheeses was rich and satisfying. And now for the drum roll....The chocolate cake was ABSOLUTELY the best that I have EVER HAD!!! Three of us could not finish it, though we wished that we could have. Service is very professional. Run, don't walk, to Hibiscus!!!

Service and ambiance were great, but the food was a big disappointment. Tuna tartar was very average, and my steak arrived underdone. However, I can recommend the ice box pie - world class!

Really good food! I have been here twice. I had a veal special once which was great. The service is outstanding. Normally it is a pet peeve of mine when a restaurant times reservations to keep you at the bar for 10 minutes before seating, which they do here, but at least the bar tender knows what he is doing. Order a manhattan with Makers 46 up and watch the magic begin. This guy makes a killer cocktail. That being said, I still hate waiting.

Hibiscus has had a great deal of management turnover in 2011 but its still an exceptional restaurant. The menu changes with the season. It is always reliable and always has a clientele that is very nice to look at if you get my drift. Still top notch i
