Wonderful restaurant, but I must note that the name has changed. It's now called the "Mint Indian Bistro." They still carry most of the Himalayan dishes as well. Great food, good staff and at an excellent price point.
We had dinner here twice in a weekend. Excellent food. Ordered the Indian Sampler the first time-not enough to share for 2 people. The Samosas (potatoe & peas) were great. We ordered a bottle of merlot, they were out but the waiter brought us some other red wine.My friend is a vegan, so she was pleasantly surprised with their selection.
Very tasty! Napalese food uses spices that distinguishes itself from Indian Cuisine. I try new dishes each time and love them all. The cream spinich is an amazing dish that doesn't sound inviting but what incredible flavors! Well worth the cost. It's located across the street from UNLV.SEPT. 2008 - Still my favorite restaurant! Food is consistently yummy. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient.
The son has recently taken over and brought in a new chef. The menu has been upgraded so we shared two new dishes, mahakali mango chicken – oven baked chicken with fresh slices of mango in an onion and fennel seed base which is similar to chicken tika masala. Our second entr?e was saag ra dhiido – braised lamb, saut?ed spinach and Nepalese cornmeal (grits?). We have had several saag dishes in the past and usually the ingredients are mixed together, but in this dish each item stood alone. We requested a medium heat level, but neither entr?e was particularly hot. We also ordered naan and basmati rice. Service was very slow because our server, presumably the owner’s son, also served as maitre d and cashier.
