Beautiful old house turned into a restaurant that has kept all the old world charm and character. Read the back of your menu to learn how it was the only house spared when the British came and burned Kingston in 1777. Great food, service can vary but a solid choice for lunch and dinner. Great lunch sandwiches from the Tavern club to the French dip. During the summer sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and pretty flowers.
Beautiful, historic decor; delicious, fresh meals; and the best French onion soup in the Hudson Valley!
The fireplace really warmed our party up on a very cold evening. All eight diners rated the food (presentation and quantity), service and atmosphere as top rated. A well appointed bar prepared a variety of different drinks properly. All in all - a great evening and this restaurant warrant a return.
This is an old stone house that some say is haunted. Very cozy booths in front of a real fireplace. In summer there is a lovely covered patio. Have been there many times over the years and have never been disappointed.
oh.my. never a disappointment,
