As a vegetarian with only one entree-type item to choose from it's hard to like this place. Even if I want two tacos - I have to order 2 of the same thing. Other establishments give a few more options so, they tend to win with me. My husband (a carnivore) loves the chimichanga so we do stop in occasionally but, I am always reluctant. There are 2-3 sides that are vegetarian but, I would prefer having entree options.
I was surprised to like this as well as I did - but the chips seemed fresh, the salsa was both bright and hot, and they had both the standard tex-mex options and a few things to spark my palate. Its a great neighborhood place, and they appear to work to keep it interesting.
The food is amazing and the menu has unique offerings like Duck or Quail at times. The service is always slow, if it's busy or not. I would still come here either way because of their food or patio area.
The ambiance is casual but cool. An East Atlanta Village standard for authentic Mexican food with a twist.
Cool location good food.
