The business card says "Home-made Vietnamese" and that pretty much says it all. It feels like you're a guest in someone's home, with the family waiting on you. They did work pretty hard to get us to order apps, but were as helpful and friendly as family could be. A terrific bargain, especially if you choose to bring adult beverages, which many were the night we were there. Go, relax and enjoy. You can't eat at home this well, this cheaply!
A great find tucked away in an area that used to be the center of Chinese/Vietnamese commerce in Houston. Authentic food. Well prepared. Pleasant service.
Don't judge it by its strip mall facade. The inside is warm and inviting and everything they make is fantastic. BYOB with $3/pp corkage.
best vietnamese in houston.
This BYOB restaurant may not have the pan-Asian choices of Kim Son, which is nearby, but it is infinitely better quality. The family-owners pride themselves on freshly prepared, properly eaten dishes (so don't be surprised if you are given how-to-eat advice or are told that they are too busy to make a time-consuming dish). Overall, a truly delicious EaDo gem - you'll crave it! Wonderful pho, rice paper, authentic coffee, and spring rolls.
